Building a structure for a crypto exchange with regulation and tax optimisation
An international crypto exchange with beneficiaries who were Ukrainian residents and turnover above $100M faced strict regulatory restrictions in the EU, difficulties opening bank accounts and a need to withdraw profit legally.
We designed a structure using several jurisdictions:

Lithuania: an EMI/crypto-exchange licence for access to SEPA payments.

Estonia: a VASP licence for a regulated crypto platform.

UAE (ADGM, DIFC): tax optimisation to grow the business.
The business gained a licensing base and access to banking infrastructure, which allowed it to operate within a regulated framework while maintaining tax efficiency.
